The Clerk of Court is the Chief Elections Officer in the Parish. As such, he serves as a member of the Parish Board of Election Supervisors. The Clerk is responsible for training all election commissioners and seeing that all precincts are staffed sufficiently for every election. When commissioners have been certified by the Clerk, the Board of Election Supervisors selects those who will serve during elections.

The Bienville Parish Board of Election Supervisors consist of the following persons:

Paula Stewart - Registrar of Voters

Kathy Sims - Representative of parish Republican Party

Luradell Jefferson - Appointee of the Governor

Election Commissioners and Commissioners-In-Charge are selected in accordance with Louisiana Law by the Parish Board of Election Supervisors in the following manner:
1.  Board meets prior to election
2. Registrar furnishes list of all qualified persons listed alphabetically by precinct. (Numbered)
3.  Board draws numbered balls from a cup. The person whose name corresponds to the number chosen is selected to serve as a commissioner.
4.   The drawing continues until the appropriate number of commissioners and alternates are selected for each precinct.
5. Those persons selected to serve in a Primary Election will serve in the General Election that will follow.

COMMISSIONERS IN CHARGE are selected in the same manner except they are selected in December of each year and serve the following year.
